I. Recreation
Dave Paice gave a presentation on the potential façade improvement for Rec West.
The swim coach for the Rec Center resigned and there was a discussion concerning his successor.
II. Next Week’s Agenda
An agreement with the Miami Conservancy District regarding the Paddington/Grantland area was discussed.
There was a discussion about the condition of the cemetery pickup truck and the possibility of replacing it.
There was a discussion over the Township becoming more involved with the Center for Local Government.
III. Miscellaneous Communications
A memo with comments from the Southwest quadrant meeting was passed out.
There are two vacancies on the Board of Zoning Appeals; one being an alternate.
It was announced that the benefit concert for Yukta Garg has been cancelled.
The Ohio Department of Transportation has requested a speed limit reduction on St. Rt. 48 between Alex Bell and Whipp Road from 45 to 40 miles per hour.
A salt bid was received from Cargill for 2010 in the amount of approximately $63.00 per ton.
The Hithergreen golf outing raised $14,000.
IV. Other
There was a question regarding the entryway sign on State Route 725.
An update on the status of the Far Hills sidewalk project was given.
All formal actions of the Board of Trustees of Washington Township concerning and relating to the adoption of resolutions and/or motions passed at this meeting were adopted in an open meeting, and of any of its committees resulting in such formal action, were in meetings open to the public, in compliance with the law, including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
