I. Trustee Meeting
There was a brief review of the Trustee meeting to follow this workshop.
II. Personnel Manual
Jesse Lightle presented changes to the proposed Employee Manual. The next step is to present it to the department heads. It should be presented to the Trustees for approval at the May 18th Trustee meeting, barring any unforeseen problems.
III. Miscellaneous
Jesse Lightle passed out a Rec Center summary of expenses with yearly comparisons.
On Tuesday, June 2nd, the Dayton League of Women Voters will host a community forum at Hithergreen Senior Center.
IV. Fire Department
Bill Gaul presented information concerning the need for additional help in Dispatch. The budgeted addition for 2009 is $45,000. The funds would come from the fire contingency fund.
V. Addendum Item
Dave Paice is requesting a replacement for one of the air conditioners at Town Hall. The cost will be approximately $13,800 for a 5-ton unit.
VI. Other
Lee Snyder commented on the speed limit sign on St. Rt. 725 being too slow.
Lee Snyder also commented that the sidewalk project on Far Hills Avenue will soon be completed.
Lee Snyder asked about the landscaping guarantee for the detention pond area around Fire Station 43. He wanted to know the period of time covered in the guarantee.
All formal actions of the Board of Trustees of Washington Township concerning and relating to the adoption of resolutions and/or motions passed at this meeting were adopted in an open meeting, and of any of its committees resulting in such formal action, were in meetings open to the public, in compliance with the law, including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
