July 8, 2009 Minutes were approved with corrections.
Old Business
It was discussed that Centerville has a person assigned on the weekends to pick up temporary business signs that are located in the right-of-way. Washington Township will be looking at doing the same in the future. There will be a meeting this week to discuss this issue.
The committee discussed designing a 3x5 identification card for members who will be going out to take pictures of properties considered for Beautification Awards.
It was also suggested that we have an article in the newspaper recognizing the Beautification Award winners.
Marlene discussed the area on SR725 and Southwind Drive across from Southview Hospital. She informed the committee that the sign has been completed. She encouraged everyone to drive by the area to check it out.
The committee unanimously voted to elect Mable Leyes to the position of Vice Chairman for the committee.
New Business
The committee reviewed 35 nominations for the Beautification Awards. 8 were nominated for the awards for August.
Meeting was adjoined at 5:15.
