WTFD Explorers Program
Fire Explorers in Washington Township are able to, while still in High School, learn about all aspects of the Fire Service. Explorers undergo instruction from experienced firefighters, learning in the classroom and through hands-on practical environments. The program aims to give young adults career training and guidance, while teaching life skills and the character education for which the Boy Scouts are known. Post 3369 meets the first and third Sunday of the month at various fire stations. The Explorers may train on medical responses, ladders, CPR, hoselines or anything that actual fire crews may face in the real world. Throughout the year Fire Explorers travel to Explorer Competitions to put their new skills to the test against other Explorers in the region.
For more information about the Explorer program at Washington Township, please email hraynor@woh.rr.com or call (937) 433-3083.
