Full-Time Position

Deputy Administrator
The Deputy Administrator will be responsible for assisting the Township Administrator in researching, analyzing, developing, implementing and coordinating various special, high-profile projects/programs, budget preparation, as liaison to various committees, and resolving problems across the Township’s organizational structure. A Master’s Degree in Public Administration is strongly preferred. Deputy Administrator information and application materials are available here.

Part-Time Fire Department Positions

Part-Paid Volunteer Firefighter

Part-Time In-House Firefighter/EMT
You'll be working every third day Monday thru Friday, a maximum of 60 hours per pay and no more than 1,500 hours per year. Positions are currently filled by using the latest test list established by the Miami Valley Fire and EMS Alliance (testing is typically given three times a year). Applications will be mailed to eligible candidates after the test has been certified by the Alliance.

Required Certificates and Licenses: Must be a State of Ohio Level I Firefighter and a State of Ohio EMT-Basic. Must obtain a Hazardous Materials - Operations Level certification within the first year of employment. Must have and maintain a valid Ohio Driver's License.

Part-Time Recreation Positions

The following is a partial list of positions at the Recreation Center. The application procedure for Recreation includes an interest form for you to indicate your choices in order of preference. Please include your areas of specialty. Part-Time Recreation application materials.

Assistant Swim Coach Assist with coaching responsibilities for the Washington Township Recreation Center Sharks Swim Team program.

Building Supervisor Is responsible for the supervision of the Recreation Center when full time staff is not present.

Camp Counselor Primary staffing position providing assistance to the operation of Recreation Center camps.

Custodian Provides maintenance of Recreation Center facilities.

Front Desk Handles miscellaneous duties in the operation of the front desk.

Groundskeeper I Handles basic groundskeeping duties within the Countryside Park.

Groundskeeper II Handles tasks similar to groundskeeper I but has more technical skills.

Head Swim Coach Head Swim Coach of the Washington Township Recreation Center Sharks Swim Team.

Instructor Provides instruction in a variety of programs including water safety instruction.

Lifeguard Works as a lifeguard at the Recreation Center pool.

Office Assistant Provides office assistance in a number of areas. Requires more technical skills or experience than front desk personnel.

Program Aide Entry level position that works to assist program instructor, program supervisor or other similar position.

Program Supervisor Has responsibility for a specific program, where other part-time employees may be reporting to them.

Recreation Assistant May assist a full time Recreation employee or provide specific leadership to a program such as dance or theater. Require significant professional training and/or experience.

Referee I Officiates youth sports and other similar programs.

Referee II Officiates adult sports programs where certification and or greater experience is required.

Scorekeeper Employees in this position provide scorekeeping assistance at Recreation leagues or other competitive events.

Specialty Coordinator Coordinates specialty programs such as dance or theater. Requires significant professional training and/or experience.

Specialty Instructor Provides class instruction in those areas that require special expertise such as arts and crafts, swimnastics, aerobics, etc.
