About Portable Document Format Files
Usually, different types of computers with different fonts installed on them are unable to display or print a page exactly as the author intended. Through the use of a technology called Portable Document Files, pages can be transferred and printed anywhere and retain the same look as the original.

Download Instructions
Most files available for download from the Washington Township website are "PDF" files. The files will appear on your web page the same as links; clicking them will open a new window containing the pdf file. Many of the documents are available in "sections" so that if you know exactly what you need you will not have to download a large file. In most cases, the file size is listed next to the actual file.

To open a PDF file, you will need to go to the Adobe website and download their free software called Adobe Acrobat Reader. The software is a widely used industry standard available for PC's, Macintosh and Unix systems.
